Volunteer at UllrGrass -Golden, Colorado
why volunteer at ullrgrass?
The best way to feel part of Golden is to help bring it together. Volunteer at UllrGrass and join more than 100 neighbors and music lovers who turn Parfet Park into a winter celebration of bluegrass, craft beer, and community. You’ll meet people, help make live music happen, and give thousands of festivalgoers a warm welcome in the heart of downtown Golden.
On January 29–31, 2027, UllrGrass returns for three days of music and heated-tent concerts, all named in honor of Ullr, the Norse god of winter. No experience or ready-made friend group required. Plenty of our volunteers first signed up when they were new in town—and came back the next winter knowing familiar faces.
Your time also helps support music beyond the festival: UllrGrass is produced by Coral Creek Music, and proceeds benefit the Kids Music Project by Coral Creek. Whether this is your first winter in Golden or your fiftieth, there’s a place for you here.

Volunteer Opportunities
Pre-Festival: Street Team, PR & Planning (October–January)
Our street team hands out flyers and puts up posters around Golden and the Denver metro from October through January. We also need admin help in the weeks leading up to the festival. These are flexible, low-commitment shifts you can fit around a work schedule — a good entry point if you're new to town and want to meet people before festival weekend.
Box Office, Merch & Kids Area
The front face of the festival. You'll handle ticket exchanges and wristbands, answer questions about the schedule, work the merch tent, or help run the Kids Area on Family Day Sunday. If you like talking to people, this is your shift.
Site Operations
Site ops is led by Greg and Tyler. This crew sets up and tears down tents, fencing, chairs, and tables in Parfet Park. During the festival, volunteers cover entrance gates, walk the grounds keeping an eye on cleanup and wristbands, answer questions, and help vendors and other volunteers with whatever comes up. Dress warm — you'll be outside.
