Congratulations to Dig Deep, winners of the UllrGrass 2025 Band Contest

The UllrGrass 2026 Band Contest will be announced soon - stay stuned for date/time and entry submission details.

The UllrGrass Band Contest will be announced soon - the event is typically held the third week of January and submissions are due in December.

The Band Contest is a FREE event and open to the public.

The winner of the UllrGrass Band Contest will be offered a Main Stage set at UllrGrass 2027.

Finalists (9 bands) will be selected to perform a 3-song set in front of a live audience and a panel of judges. The winner will be announced immediately following the contest.

The contest is open to string bands and non-string bands alike. The judging will be based on the “instrumental performance", “vocal performance - including use of harmony", and “overall performance". Favorable consideration will also be given to bands performing original songs (bands should introduce their original songs as such).
